Bio

Jake Spiegelhauer grew up in Huntsville, TX, before moving to Bryan-College Station to attend Texas A&M University, where he received both his B.A. in 2001 and his M.A. in 2004.

Following a stint as a writer, Mr. Spiegelhauer went on to pursue a career in law, graduating first in his class from Baylor Law School in 2012. He returned at that time to the Bryan-College Station area to pursue his law practice, joining the James & Reynolds Law Firm in 2013. In 2018, he was made a partner in the firm.

During his time practicing, Mr. Spiegelhauer has represented clients with charges ranging from Class C Misdemeanors to 1st Degree Felonies. To maintain his skill and knowledge of the law, Mr. Spiegelhauer regularly attends seminars and classes throughout the state, and was recognized in 2020 by the State of Texas as a Board Certified Specialist in the field of Criminal Law.

As an attorney, Mr. Spiegelhauer has served as both lead and co-counsel on felony and misdemeanor cases – including murder, sexual assault, and aggravated assault cases – obtaining multiple acquittals in jury trials in both district and county courts. Additionally, he has handled several appeals in the 10th Court of Appeals in Waco and the Court of Criminal Appeals in Austin.

Outside of his practice, Mr. Spiegelhauer, along with his wife, Katie, and their two sons, are active members of the Bryan-College Station community, volunteering in youth athletics, charities, and proudly supporting the University of Texas A&M that brought them together.
